  1. Lemon & Cinnamon – Lemon has been used for years without knowing the exact reason that how it can help to lose few pounds of fat initially. People who are overweight or obese are supposed to have high inflammation as well. Vitamin C contained in lemon act as antioxidant by boosting an important indigenously produced antioxidant known as Glutathione which helps in neutralising free radicals as well as in detoxification of toxins from the body. The lemon also helps to alkalise the pH & lower the glycemic index of food by at least 30%. All these factors aids in Fat Loss. Cinnamon on the other hand improves insulin sensitivity and lower glycemic index of food. Both can be used throughout the day with food to aid weight loss.

If you have fatty liver or it is engaged in removing excess toxins or alcohol then metabolising fat is of least priority. So if your liver is not optimised consider a liver supporting diet, nutrients or even a small liver detox before starting weight loss plan. A liver cleansing protocol usually includes apple, beets, carrots, choline, milk thistle, dandelion, vitamin C, phosphatidylserine & herbal liver formulations.

You can soak 2-3 tsp of raw seeds in a cup of water overnight and then drink that water early in morning and can also chew the seeds.

  5. Probiotics – Probiotic foods & supplements aid in weigh loss by promoting growth of healthy microbes in the intestine. These microbes along with fibre is responsible for regulating cholesterol, production of vitamins & detoxification of certain metabolic waste and toxins. They also regulate the bowel movements and production of health promoting fatty acids known as Short chain fatty acids. A good probiotic with a strength no less 15 billion CFU twice a day promote weight loss in obese people.

Intermittent fasting is not about eating extremely low calories or staying hungry but rather it is about eating optimal calories through wholesome foods within a certain period of time (usually 8 hours) after extended overnight fasting of 12-16 hours.
