Functional medicine and Sports performance

Sometimes few changes or little tweaks in diet can improve sports performance like this teen athlete who has improved a lot in all of his swimming events in regards to finishing time. There is a huge difference in time this year in comparison to last year. In sports performance even the milliseconds can make you lose or win a game. Functional medicine is a fantastic tool which can be used to improve performance and recovery in sports, though very few functional medicine practitioner deal with sports performance, I had successfully implemented it many times and seen repeated results. Being a strength and conditioning coach and personal trainer I have been training for last 20 years and know the nutritional and supplemental requirements for athletes very well. I have seen teen athletes respond to nutritional therapy very well with significant changes in their well being and performance.
